After the butter is browned, I remove it from the heat and whisk in the juice from about ¼ of a lemon. Pour over the drained pasta and then toss with finely grated parmesan cheese and either ground cinnamon, nutmeg, or pumpkin pie spice to taste. It’s delicious!

I really mean the absolute best! They cover everything anyone needs to know to be successful with the task of browning butter. I have had the ingredients needed to make chocolate chip cookies sitting out on my large kitchen table for three days. I even hauled out my old avocado green Kitchen Aid stand mixer. My husband bought it for me as a Christmas gift many years ago. It and I have made many cookies over the years but never any using browned butter because I didn’t think I could be successful at it Your directions are so good, I am going to give it a try tonight. Thank you for your great instructions. I’m going to look for help with toasting pecans on you site right now.
Thanks again,

Hi CJ, We do that in the frosting for this banana cake, if you’re interested in seeing how we do that. Happy baking!

You inspired me to finally brown my butter. I planned to use it in a frosting. Do you think it will be nice in a frosting? Thank you 🙂

Hi Dee, you could and reheat over the stove or in the microwave to melt again.
