Buttermilk is all I have on hand right now. I know you have a buttermilk pancake recipe, but I want to incorporate the buttermilk into the healthy banana pancake recipe. Does that mean the pancakes will be unhealthy? Using will alter the taste? Thanks.

OK, I’ve made this now at least 5 times. Today I swapped 1/2 tsp cardamom instead of the 1 tsp cinnamon. It was excellent! I’m glad I tried it. I highly recommend this variation.

I followed the recipe to at and the banana flavor was barely there…for instance I used a large extra ripe banana. I would suggest adding half of a banana to the batter !
